Such a headline probably grabs our attention as 'Baby Boomers' are much in the public gaze, both for good and bad press.

Looking deeper into their times it becomes apparent that they were the pawns of the liberal activists of the 50's, whether socialists or sexual deviants. It is this generation that comes into focus in the book 'Destructive Generation' by Peter Collier and David Horowitz.

Day after day elderly celebrities are brought to book, shamed for their despicable sexual exploitation of the young from the 1960's and 70's onwards. It seems it became a wholesale grooming of the youth to satiate their perverted desires for celebrity and sexual gratification. Rather than 'Grumpy Old Men' it is fast becoming 'Dirty Old Men'.

Why should this be? What happened in the 1950's to facilitate this behaviour? War, it seems, was both character building but also led to the destruction of ethical mores which had protected the dignity and freedom of man, possibly resulting from seeming meaningless existence. Behind lies a 'will to power', a desire to control others for self-gratification, whether political, economic or sexual.

It has come to light that the elderly gay population were the instigators of gay activism which led to the recognition of 'gay marriage' this year. Their stated aim in the 50's was the destruction of the family. A redefinition of family roles ends up eliminating them, roles as ancient as man himself.

The danger is that when society breaks down under the onslaught of unbridled liberalism and socialism, the state inevitably intrudes with multiplication of laws in order to restore order, replacing social institutions such as the family, church and schools.

Unfinished 'symphony'.
